While calling running back Maurice Jones-Drew a fantasy "sleeper" is a bit of an oxymoron, he should be a good play this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are giving up over 100 yards per game on the ground and will be without starters Casey Hampton and Aaron Smith, two key players on their defensive line. Jones-Drew is currently fourth in the NFL in rushing yards and is averaging 5 yards per carry.
With rookie Blaine Gabbert at quarterback and the lack of production at the wide receiver position, it makes sense for the Jaguars to ride Jones-Drew. While Jones-Drew is averaging under 20 carries per game, he's still averaging nearly 100 yards per game on the ground. In this game, I would expect the Jaguars to give Jones-Drew around 20-25 touches, including some passes out of the backfield. If Jones-Drew is on your fantasy team, he should be a starter regardless, but this week is a nice match up for him.
