The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to place third yeard tight end Zach Miller on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, according to a report from Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union. Ganguli reported the news on her Twitter feed a few moments ago. Defensive back T.J. Heath will take Miller's spot on the 53-man roster. I imagine however, the Jaguars will sign another tight end at some point.
Miller injured his shoulder in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. On the season, Miller had 4 receptions for 42 yards and a touchdown. For his career, Miller has only missed five games but he's been a constant on the injury report. He's been hyped as a "Dallas Clark" type tight end for the Jaguars, but has yet to live up to that label. He was selected in the 6th round by the Jaguars in the 2009 NFL draft. For his career, Miller has 45 receptions for 470 yards and 4 touchdowns.
