New Orleans Saints at Jaguars: Live Blog/Open Thread

Here we go, time for the 1-2 Jaguars week four matchup against the 2-1 New Orleans Saints. The Jaguars defense will need to slow down Drew Brees and the Saints offense as much as possible, but the reality is, they will score points. The Jaguars offense cannot continue to score 10 points or fewer and expect to win. Especially against the high octane Saints.

My keys to getting the victory today at Everbank Field:

1. Don't give up on the run. Yeah the chains on Blaine Gabbert need to come off and the Jaguars have to trust him more to throw, but the weakness of the Saints defense is clearly the middle. Time to bust out the Colts gameplan of years past and run the ball aggressively up the middle and pass to keep the defense honest.

2. Capitalize on turnover opportunities. Similar to the Colts game of week four last year, the Jaguars will need to capitalize on Drew Brees mistakes and not make mistakes of their own. I'm sure the Jaguars wont get the eight interception options they dropped last week in Carolina.

INACTIVES:

Jaguars - DE Aaron Kampman, WR Kassim Osgood, CB Derek Cox, FB Montell Owens, S Courtney Greene, G Jason Spitz, OT Cameron Bradfield (Note: Eugene Monroe is active, but will not start. Guy Whimper will start at LT, Britton at RT, Rackley at LG.)

Saints - WR Adrian Arrington, TE David Thomas, DL Jeff Charleston, LB Martez Wilson, LB Will Herring, C Olin Kreutz, OT Zach Strief
