Jaguars win 12-7 on the back of suffocating defense

The Jaguars defense allowed just 146 yards of total offense to Joe Flacco and the Ravens and forced two turnovers to lead the Jaguars to victory. The Ravens fall to 4-2 while the Jaguars improve to 2-5 as they head into a game against the division leading Texans on Sunday.

The offense again struggled to move the ball, but did what they needed to do to control the clock, accumulating 132 yards of rushing despite four Maurice Jones-Drew fumbles. Ultimately, Josh Scobee was the hero for the offense, knocking in four field goals including three from over 50 yards.

We'll have plenty more Jaguars coverage throughout the week as we highlight the positives and negatives of the Monday night victory, but the main points are this: The offense is not yet where it needs to be, but the defense might be on to something with a healthy lineup and some dominant man coverage.
