Eric Edholm of ProFootballWeekly reports that WR Mike Thomas has agreed to a three year extension with the Jaguars that locks him in with the team through 2015. Thomas was set to become a free agent at the conclusion of the 2012 season.

I have learned #Jaguars WR Mike Thomas has received a 3-year extension, for $18M total, $9M guaranteed.

This is the second contract extension given to a Jaguars player this week, as the Jaguars agreed to an extension with Montell Owens on Tuesday. At over $35 million under the salary cap, the most of any team in the NFL, the Jaguars have plenty of room to give extensions to players they wish to keep for years to come.

Thomas, a third year player, has 134 career receptions, 1,485 yards receiving and six receiving touchdowns. He has started 2011 with 20 receptions for 212 yards and a touchdown.
