A concussion against the Browns ended defensive end Matt Roth's day and it looks like it will keep him out against the Texans. The injury is one of many along the Jaguars defensive line and will likely lead to Leger Douzable starting his second career game and first with the Jaguars. At defensive end.
The 6'4, 284 pound lineman has played rotationally as a defensive tackle, but according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com he's the most likely candidate to start in Roth's place against the Texans. Oehser also reports that the Jaguars are hopeful that Aaron Kampman will be ready to start on Sunday, but with a hamstring injury that has kept him limited in Wednesday's and Thursday's practices, that seems doubtful.
With Douzable in at defensive end, the Jaguars will have a very large defensive line that should do better against the run than it does as a pass rushing unit. Something that should be rather suitable against the team in the NFL that runs more than any other.
