Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker to have surgery Tuesday | jacksonville.com
This isn't the first time Mike Sims-Walker has gone on injured reserve due to a knee problem, and it won't be the first time he has surgery.  Yesteray the Jaguars placed Sims-Walker on injured reserve. Today he said on Twitter that he was having surgery Tuesday. "Knee surgery on tuesday, seems like everything that could've went wrong dis year went wrong, but gotta play the cards I was dealt......"

Mike Sims-Walker’s return to Jacksonville lasted just two games and one catch. Signed on Nov. 18 after being cut by the St. Louis Rams, Sims-Walker was placed on the injured reserve list Wednesday after the Jaguars claimed Brian Robiskie off waivers from Cleveland. The Jaguars said Sims-Walker has a knee problem.

As the Jags head into the bye week, they look forward to two very winnable games.  The Colts in week ten and the Browns in week eleven.  If this were a normal year, the Colts would probably have 0-2 losses and would be a formidable foe requiring intense preparation and development in the off week.  But this year, the Jags can focus on getting back to the basics, practicing harder and, hopefully, coming out of the bye week more refined.
