The Jacksonville Jaguars will place tight end Martin Rucker on injured reserve and promote linebacker Mike Lockley from the practice squad to the active roster, according to a report by Aaron Wilson. Lockley was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars prior to the season as an undrafted rookie free agent, playing his NCAA football at FAU. Lockley looked like a player who would make a push for the roster and at least the practice squad during training camp and the preseason.

To make room on the active roster for Lockley, the Jaguars are expected to place tight end Martin Rucker on injured reserve. Rucker was plucked from the Dallas Cowboys practice squad prior to the Jaguars game against the Houston Texans. Rucker was active for the game, but played sparingly. It is unknown what his injury is at this time and if it was injured during the game or in practice following the game.
