Shareece Wright Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 100 out of 100

Today begins my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We're going to start with number 100, Southern California defensive back Shareece Wright.

Height: 5-11

Weight: 185lbs

PROS: Has good size and speed for the position. Athletic corner who will come up and support the run. Has a knack for causing fumbles. Does a good job blitzing the quarterback from the corner position. Plays with a good motor and does a good job in press coverage. Has good instincts and excels in zone coverage. Has very good upside, still kind of raw.

CONS: Despite playing 5 seasons at USC doesn't have a lot of actual experience. Has a history of off the field issues including being suspended for academics and being charged with resisting arrest in 2009. Has durability concerns and missed a lot of time due to injury. Will bite on double moves and get fooled by play fakes. May have to make his bones early as a dime corner and special teamer.
