Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 89th ranked player, Arizona State defensive lineman Lawrence Guy.
Height: 6-5
Weight: 300lbs
PROS: Good pass rusher from the defensive tackle position. Good size and can penetrate and collapse the pocket. Quick off the snap of the football. Hard worker with a good motor, can use his size to disrupt passing lanes. Versatile tackle who could play end in a 3-4 scheme.
CONS: Despite his size isn’t very strong at the point of attack. Doesn’t use his arms and allows blockers to get into his body. Has a lot of upside but until he gets stronger will only offer a rotational role early in his career. Would have been best served staying another year in school.
