Alfie's Player Ranking 86 out of 100
Projected Round: 3
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 87th ranked player, Oklahoma safety Quinton Carter.
Height: 6-0
Weight: 211lbs
PROS: Good bulk for the safety position. Great production his final two seasons at Oklahoma. Shows good instincts and play recognition, will come up and deliver a big hit. Takes good angles in coverage and pursuit, generally puts himself in position to make a play. Will make athletic catches and play the ball in the air well.
CONS: Can be inconsistent in his play. Can get in a habit of long stretches of missed assignments and blowing coverages. Misses tackles in the open field. Might be limited to the strong safety role that helps at the line of scrimmage.
