Andy Dalton 2011 NFL Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 85 out of 100
Projected Round: 3

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 85th ranked player, TCU quarterback Andy Dalton.

Height: 6-2
Weight: 213lbs

PROS: A lot of experience and production. Numbers got better every season. Throws a catchable football and is fairly accurate. Knows how to work the middle of the football field. Smart player who can throw on the run. Reasonable athleticism and can make some plays with his feet. Leader on and off the football field, no character concerns what so ever. Big time winner, only 3 losses as a starter at TCU. Showed in the Rose Bowl he can perform against the big boys.

CONS: Arm strength is a bit of a question mark. Seems to lack the zip on his deeper routes and can float deeper pass. Has a 3/4 release that might scare some teams because of his height. Played in a spread system and didn’t take many snaps from under center. Doesn’t posses any "wow" physical attributes. More of a high floor/low ceiling type of player.
