K.J. Wright 2011 NFL Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 79 out of 100
Projected Round: 3-4

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 79th ranked player, Mississippi State linebacker K.J. Wright.

Height: 6-3
Weight: 246lbs

PROS: Great production as a Bulldog. Plays with passions and a mean streak, can lay a big hit. Good size and speed for the outside linebacker position in a 4-3. Can run with athletic tight ends and does a good job blitzing. Doesn’t miss a lot of tackles and is incredibly durable. Has a nice motor and does a good job getting to plays he’s not a part of.

CONS: Will take some poor angles in pursuit both blitzing and in the open field. Average instincts and can get sucked in by play action and misdirection plays. Change of direction ability leaves a lot to be desired.
