Mike Pouncey 2011 NFL Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 77 out of 100
Projected Round: 2-3

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 77th ranked player, Florida offensive lineman Mike Pouncey.

Height: 6-4
Weight: 317

PROS: Athletic guard who can play all three interior offensive line positions. Strong and holds the point of attack. Has experience playing the center position. Doesn’t get bull rushed often and places his hands well. Can pull and get to the second level on running plays. Has good footwork and is a natural knee bender. Solid in pass protection. Plays with a mean streak and works hard.

CONS: Will get over hyped because of his brother. Good player in his own right, but not as good as his twin. Played center his final year, but struggled anchoring and snapping the football. Best fit will be at guard in the NFL. Inconsistent and struggles with stunts and blitzes. Struggles with shotgun snaps and can lean into his blocks.
