Communities in Schools students from Fernandina Beach Middle School and Yulee Middle School earned their seats for a Jaguars game in December through a rigorous set of after-school assignments to develop health, leadership and academic success. The Jacksonville Jaguars donated tickets for students, parent chaperones and CIS staff to motivate student performance and healthy lifestyles. The Jaguars have provided tickets to more than 50 students served by CIS of Nassau County annually for the past nine years.

2007 Retrospective Response
In an article that inspired heated debate, Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country argued that the 2007 season in which the Jaguars went 11-5 and beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild card round of the playoffs was detrimental to the future of the team. I actually agree with Alfie in that evaluation, but I don’t entirely agree with all the reasoning behind the article.
