Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 69th ranked player, Ole Miss defensive tackle Jerrell Powe.
Height: 6-3
Weight: 320lbs
PROS: Long arms for the position with a powerful punch. Is disruptive in the backfield. Powerful bull rush and is hard to budge. Plays mean, can collapse the pocket, and makes plays in the backfield. Should fit in naturally as a nose tackle in a 3-4 defense.
CONS: Has past issues concerning his work ethic. Weight has been an issue in the past. Doesn’t anchor that well and can drop his head when engaged. Was ruled academically ineligible prior to 2008.
