Alfie's Player Ranking 68 out of 100
Projected Round: 3
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 68th ranked player, Pittsburgh defensive end Jabaal Sheard.
Height: 6-4
Weight: 260lbs
PROS: Good pass rusher with a nice first step off the snap of the ball. Uses good technique and has an array of pass rush moves. Relentless player with a good motor and high football IQ. Didn't get the hype his teammate Greg Romeus, but some scouts feel he's just as good if not better overall.
CONS: Can get dominated in the running game and is often targeting by teams who run the ball. Will need to add some weight and bulk to play end in a 4-3, may have to transition to outside linebacker in a 3-4. Misses tackles and struggles dropping into coverage. Has some character issues, having been charged with multiple things after a street fight in the 2010 season.
