Nate Irving 2011 NFL Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 64 out of 100
Projected Round: 3

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 64th ranked player, NC State linebacker Nate Irving.

Height: 6-1

Weight: 242

PROS: Versatile linebacker who can play all the linebacker positions. Vocal leader on the field, has the just right amount of “crazy” teams love to have in a linebacker. Good speed and diagnoses plays well. Has great change of direction ability and is good in zone coverage, especially to the flats. Hard worker on and off the field, worked back from a bad car accident in 2009.

CONS: Not the greatest wrap up tackler and can be cut block on the edge. Not really know for his pass rushing ability, relies on his speed to get to the quarterback. Injury concerns, missed some of 2008 with an injury and had a bad car accident in 2009 that left him with multiple injuries and caused him to miss a full season.
