Chris Carter 2011 NFL Draft Profile

Alfie's Player Ranking 94 out of 100
Projected Round: 3-4

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 94th ranked player, Fresno State linebacker Chris Carter.

Height: 6-2
Weight: 245lbs

PROS: Excellent pass rusher off the edge and from the linebacker position. Explosive off the snap of the football. Versatile player who has experience playing defensive end and linebacker in his career. Tough player who played through some minor injuries in 2009, including a cast on his hand much of the season.

CONS: Will play linebacker in the NFL and his experience there is minimal. Did have a strong showing playing only linebacker during the week of the East West Shrine Game. Pass rushing moves are limited to essentially just a speed rush off the edge. May not be an every down linebacker and will need to work on his tackling in the open field.
