Alfie's Player Ranking 20 out of 100
Projected Round: 1
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 20th ranked player, Boston College offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo.
Height: 6-7
Weight: 305
PROS: Good athelete that’s good in pass protection. Very smart player who recognizes plays and blocking schemes. Long arms and bends well, shows good technique pass blocking. Good feet, setup, and body control when blocking. Good quick punch and strong at the point when run blocking. Can play right or left tackle in the NFL.
CONS: Lighter in the pants than ideal for an NFL offensive tackle, will likely add around 10 pounds before he gets into a camp. Not overly strong or powerful in the lower body, more of a finesse blocker. Can get bull rushed and knocked back easily by bigger defensive lineman. More of a “wall” blocker. Can get caught reaching against speed edge rushers and get caught off balance.
