Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 18th ranked player, Illinois runningback Mikel Leshoure.
Height: 6-0
Weight: 230lbs
PROS: Quick feet for a big back and accelerates nicely. Good size with an ideal combination of speed and power. Breaks tackles and works through trash at the line of scrimmage. Good vision and patient runner. Doesn’t fumble often and keeps the football tight to his body. Not a lot of mileage
CONS: Only one big-time productive season at Illinois. Conditioning has been a concern and runs predominantly out of the shotgun. Doesn’t do a lot out of the backfield as a pass catcher, but does have good hands. Get’s stopped for negative yards too often instead of taking what’s given.
