2011 NFL Draft Profile: J.J. Watt

Alfie's Player Ranking 15 out of 100
Projected Round: 1

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 15th ranked player, Wisconsin defensive end J.J. Watt.

Height: 6-5

Weight: 290lbs

PROS: Great size for a defensive end. Relentless pass rusher who can cause disruption in the backfield. Good power and has a great bull rush. Plays the run exceptionally well and will bat down a lot of passes at the line of scrimmage. Has played both defensive end and defensive tackle in a 4-3 scheme. Very hard worker with a good motor and a mean streak.

CONS: Only two years of experience playing defensive end. Might be best served as a 3-4 defensive end, will be a left end only in a 403 scheme. Played tight end at Central Michigan before transferring to Wisconsin, would think he’s a better athlete than he showed on film.
