Alfie's Player Ranking 11 out of 100
Projected Round: 1
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 11th ranked player, Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara.
Height: 6-1
Weight: 205lbs
PROS: Excellent size and good speed, lots of experience.. Very explosive overall athlete. Physical player who excels in press coverage and is an asset coming up to support the run. Very good and powerful tackler. Natural play maker with fantastic play recognition skills. All around corner who is good in both man coverage and playing in the zone. Will be able to step in as a rookie and help out a football team at multiple positions.
CONS: Some think he need to move to a safety position like Ohio State’s Malcom Jenkins. Very sloppy back pedal when not playing in press coverage, which he is most comfortable in. Struggles with smaller quick receivers and can sometimes get too aggressive on the press and will lose position on slants.
