Alfie's Player Ranking out of 100
Projected Round: 1

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 6th ranked player, Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley.

Height: 6-3

Weight: 299lbs

PROS: Good athlete for his size. Great pass rusher that uses his hands to free himself from blockers. Relentless when trying to get to the quarterback. Quick off the snap of the football and has a knack for getting in the backfield. Constantly gets good penetration on nearly every play. Good job of recognizing if a play is run or pass and changing up accordingly. Non stop motor with a mean streak. Versatile player who can fit in a 4-3 or 3-4 scheme. Shows up big in big games.

CONS: Prior to the 2010 season he started only two games at Auburn. Former JUCO transfer without a lot of experience. Stamina often becomes an issue late in games and often plays down to his competition. Work ethic is questionable and has a wrap as a dirty play, often taking unnecessary penalties during games. Has a shoulder injury that has prevented him from lifting at the NFL Combine and his Pro Day.
