Alfie's Player Ranking out of 100
Projected Round: 1

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 4th ranked player, Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers.

Height: 6-4

Weight: 280lbs

PROS: Very good athlete with excellent size for the defensive end position. Explosive player with a good pass rush. Disruptive when rushing the passer and knows how to push the pocket and make the quarterback move. Plays the run very well and makes plays in the backfield and for loss. Very good change of direction and is very good at flowing down the line of scrimmage and following the play. Doesn’t get caught up by offensive lineman and knows how to disengage.

CONS: Known to give up on plays early. Doesn’t stay low enough to utilize his natural lower body strength. Inconsistent player who’s production doesn’t show up week to week. Numbers were underwhelming prior to his 2010 season. Has a knee he had surgery on in the offseason that recovery has lingered and has reportedly scared some teams in the top of the draft and could cause him to fall out of the Top 10.
