Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 2nd ranked player, Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.
Height: 6-3
Weight: 319lbs
PROS: Athletic player for his size. Very disruptive and explosive on the line of scrimmage getting constant penetration into the backfield. Knows how to use his power and quickness to shoot through gaps and collapse the interior of the pocket. Very good lower body strength, good lateral mobility, and does a nice job of stacking. Very hard worker. Can play in both a 4-3 and 3-4 scheme.
CONS: Has been known to give up on plays. Short arms allow him to get sucked into the hands of interior offensive lineman. Suspended for two games in the 2010 season for dealing with an agent. Mostly a back up player prior to the 2010 season.
