Alfie's Player Ranking out of 100
Projected Round: 1

Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my top ranked player, LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Height: 6-1

Weight: 211lbs

PROS: Great size and speed for the cornerback position. Because of his size can match up well with the bigger receivers at the NFL level. Does a nice job of adjusting to the ball in the air. Very tough at press coverage due to his size. Can jam a receiver off of their route with relative ease. Fantastic kick returner and a threat with his ball in his hands after an interception. Has fluid hips and a very good back pedal. Versatile player who can make the move to safety if necessary.

CONS: Much better in man coverage than in the zone. Often caught out of position when playing zone coverage and relies more on athletic ability than instinct. Straight-line speed is great, but really struggles with lateral movement and change of direction.
