Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 49th ranked player, Maryland wide receiver Torrey Smith.
Height: 6-1
Weight: 200lbs
PROS: Very good combination of size and speed. Should run very well at the NFL Combine. Explosive and accelerates out of his breaks. Can return kicks and is a homerun threat with the football in his hands.
CONS: Isn’t a natural hands catcher, more of a body catcher. Isn’t a great route runner, will often round off his routes and rely on his pure speed to get open. Doesn’t offer much in run blocking. Doesn’t work the middle of the field, sticks to the sidelines.
