2011 NFL Draft Profile: Sidney Tarver - Tennessee State, LB

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post tweeted that the Jacksonville Jaguars were among teams who attened a private workout for under the radar prospect Sidney Tarver. Don't know who Sidney Tarver is? Don't worry, I'll tell you.

Height: 6-4

Weight: 240lbs

PROS: Very good size for the linebacker position that will get some looks as a 3-4 pass rusher. Ran the 40-yard dash at 4.65 and 4.68 seconds. Has experience playing both the strongside linebacker position and as a stand up defensive end rushing the passer. Has good feet for his size and doesn't look awkward dropping into coverage. Does a nice job covering tight ends across the middle of the field.

CONS: Still a very raw project type player with high upside at the position. Was moved all over the field and given a multitude of roles, so was caught thinking too much at times. Does not posesses many pass rushing moves and isn't explosive enough to offer much pass rushing wise with his hand on the ground. Is late on quite a few plays, but this goes back to not being entirely sure of where to be.
