Alfie's Player Ranking 38 out of 100
Projected Round: 1-2
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 38th ranked player, Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor.
Height: 6-3
Weight: 340lbs
PROS: Prototypical size for an NFL nosetackle. Good first step and has powerful hands with a good punch. Plays the run well and is virtually impossible to block with a single offensive lineman. Anchors well and just takes up space, hard to move in the running game.
CONS: Limited pass rush potention. Best fit as a 3-4 nosetackle where being a space eater is necessary. Can get to heavy at times, so weight can be a concern. Has durability and character concerns. Was kicked off Penn State after the 2007 season.
