Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 29th ranked player, Miami(FL) cornerback Brandon Harris.
Height: 5-9
Weight: 191lbs
PROS: Good size for the corner position. Good enough speed to play corner at the NFL level. Possess fluid hips and footwork in his back pedal, very good in man-to-man coverage. Has good ball instincts and adjust to the ball well in the air. Not afraid to cover the bigger receivers and has no injury concerns. Passionate player who’s known as a hard worker and is very coachable.
CONS: Will often miss tackles when coming up for run support. Doesn’t breakdown well when making tackles. Not a lot of interceptions despite being a three year starter at Miami. Has trouble reading the quarterback and reacting when playing in zone coverage, much better being stuck on a receiver and playing man coverage.
