With the 19th pick of the 2011 draft The New York Giants select Nate Solder LT from the University of Colorado.
The Giants couldn't be much happier with themselves after making this pick, LT is a very big need for the G-men and they get an intelligent pro-bowl caliber LT for the next ten years, including insurance for their increasingly old and injured O-line. We didn't expect to have Solder drop to us and were quite content to grabbing Mike Pouncey coming in right away and contributing, now we got an even better player at a higher premium position.
The Giants like to blend value and need and they did so today. East Rutherford rejoices!!! Solder heads to the East Coast.
