With the 24th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson, Temple.
I look for the Saints to upgrade their defensive line early in the draft. Playing in the NFC South, the Saints are going to need think about stopping Matt Ryan and Josh Freeman for the next Ten years. Other than Sedrick Ellis and Will Smith the Saints don't really have any other legitimate starters. They did sign Shaun Rodgers at the end of the year, but to say that he is over the hill is a understatement. Wilkerson is a versatile defensive lineman who can play all 3-downs in Gregg Williams aggressive system. He can line up at defensive tackle and even at the left defensive end spot.
