The Jacksonville Jaguars hosted Division III Bridgewater Eagles wide receiver Tyler Beiler on Sunday, Big Cat Country has learned. Beiler (6-0, 185lbs) led Division III in 2010 in all-purpose yards and receiving yards per game. Beiler impressed scouts at his Pro-Day, which he held during the James Madison Pro-Day. Tyler Beiler ran the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds and a 40.5 inch vertical leap. Beiler also posted 15 reps of 225lbs on the bench press.
Beiler was the ODAC player of the years as well as a Division III All-American for the 2010 season. Highly touted Mount Union receiver Cecil Shorts played in the same conference as Beiler. Beiler created a buzz during his Pro-Day, of which the Jaguars did not attend. Currently, Beiler is projected as an undrafted free agent. He ended the 2010 season averaging 134.2 receiving yards per game. Beiler was named to the AP Little All-American team and was the winner of the Willie Lanier Award, as the state of Virginia's top small college football player.
Beiler ended the 2010 season with 61 receptions for 1,342 yards with 16 touchdowns. Beiler also returned punts for Bridgewater.
