Is it Time to Find an Alternative?

I've been wondering a lot lately if it was actually time to find an alternative to the NFL. I've come to the conclusion that we haven't yet reached that very scary reality, but it's something that I think is important to question out loud. The NFL and the NFLPA have been jerking their fans around for about 3 months, and I'm beginning to consider supporting a different brand of football.

Here are our options as fans. We can wait this thing out (as I still plan to do), we can all become huge college football fans (something I will never do in a million lifetimes), become AFL, UFL, or CFL fans, or we can stop watching football altogether.

Now first of all, I don't see a situation where I'm not an NFL fan, but I could see myself watching UFL games. I know a lot of you are wondering why I hate college football. I simply don't agree with the BCS (I've been told it stands for Bull Crap System, but that doesn't seem right) or the NCAA. In my world, if you win every single game you play in a season, you are the national champion. After all, 19-0 is the only record in the NFL that would guaranty a Super Bowl victory (okay fine, 18-0-1, 17-0-2, etc. does too).

I can't speak for anyone but myself, but this whole CBA situation is ridiculous. I feel like that annoying toddler yelling, "give me a puppy!" The only difference is that I'm yelling, "give me football!" I've been delving mildly in the AFL lately, but I'll still watch NFL football when it comes around again. I've lost a lot of respect for a lot of players/executives on both sides, but I haven't lost my love of football. That's something Goodell and Smith can't touch.
