Schefter: League advises owners to stay overnight

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the NFL has advised teams to stay overnight next week during the owners meetings in Chicago.

FWIW: League sent memo to teams last night, advising them to be prepared to stay overnight during next Tuesday's NFL meetings in Chicago.

What does this mean exactly? Well, it could be a multitude of things. The "secret" meetings between a select group of owners, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and select players have been ongoing for a little over a week. There are some who speculate the overall "silence" about the labor proceedings since June 3rd have been a very positive sign. There was even speculation that there could be a proposal for owners to mull over during their meeting in Chicago today and the fact they are being advised to stay overnight could lead credence to that. Even if that's not what it means, it's a great sign because it shows the league knows they're in a critical time for reaching a new CBA.
