With Jay Glazers report that the NFL and NFLPA reportedly agreed to terms on a new CBA, more details of the 2011 season have started to trickle out. If (more like when) the players agree to and ratify the new CBA deal, players are expected to report to team facilities on Tuesday (July 26th) and begin to vote to recertify the NFLPA union.
According to Mark Maske of The Washington Post, teams could begin signing their own free agents , 2011 NFL Draft picks, undrafted free agents, and would be allowed to begin negotiations with unrestricted free agents. Teams would then be able to actually sign unrestricted free agents on Friday July 29th, beginning at 6 P.M. est. As previously mentioned, teams would open training camps between Thursday and Saturday (July 28-30th).
As long as everything goes according to plan today, which seems to be the case, it looks like NFL football will finally be back.
