In a move that's not all that surprising, the Tennessee Titans agree to terms with veteran quarterback Matt Hasselbeck. This has been a big rumor for quite a while in the offseason and it reunited Hasselbeck with his former general manager Mike Reinfeldt, who was the Seattle Seahawks general manager when Hasselbeck signed his big deal back in 2006. This gives the Titans a veteran presence and likely starter early in the season, which also makes the Jacksonville Jaguars opening game on September 11th move from what looked like an easy win to a much more difficult game.
While Hasselbeck is a shell of what he used to be a few seasons ago, he's still a smart quarterback who knows what to do. The last time he played the Jaguars, he shredded them for 241 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 41-0 thrashing. As a Titan however, Hasselbeck will have some nice weapons to throw to that he didn't have in Seattle.
