Manuwai "Not even close to ready", Knighton out of Shape

Yesterday we got the news that Jacksonville Jaguars offensive guard Vince Manuwai was going to be placed on the non-football injury list, when actually it was the PUP list. Obviously, Manuwai didn't practice today because of that fact. Mark Long of the AP asked head coach Jack Del Rio about Vince Manuwai after practice, to which Del Rio responded with "Vinny's not even close (to being ready for camp)." Furthermore, Gene Frenette of the Florida Times-Union tweets that Manuwai and long snapper Jeremy Cain (back) have been placed on the PUP list. ""Manuwai not ready to be on the field. He also has some personal issues," Gene Frenette relayed via twitter.

Also of note, defensive tackle Terrance Knighton passed his conditioning test, but he's still "out of shape". Tania Ganuli tweets that he will be held out of practice until he is in shape.

With the loss of mini-camp and OTA's, it should be that much of a shock that a few players are out of "NFL shape". Nothing compares to working at the facilities in their program.

Note: This information was compiled from tweets of reporters at the practice. I won't be there until tonight, of which I'll have a recap.
