Report: Jaguars Come to Terms With LB Clint Session

It was reported by Tania Ganguli a few days ago that the Jacksonville Jaguars had started contract negotiations with free agent linebacker Clint Session, and now according to Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network, they have agreed to terms of a deal.

Clint Session to the Jags. 5 years, $30 million with $11.5 million guaranteed. Linebackers doing well on this market

Session's deal is almost as much as the Jaguars signed Paul Posluszny for, at least guaranteed wise. The Jaguars have now completely re-done their starting linebackers outside of Daryl Smith, and for the better.

Clint Session is a linebacker I've pegged as a good fit for the Jaguars if they were to go looking for two starters. He's a violent hitter that's very aggressive, and quick for his size. Some in the local media like to call him "The best fat little linebacker in the NFL". Session is 26 years old and is entering his 5th season in the NFL. Last season Session missed 11 games with an injury, but previous to that he had been the full-time starting outside linebacker since 2008 for the Colts.
