Today after practice Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio told the media that runningback Maurice Jones-Drew and defensive end Aaron Kampman are expected to play Thursday night against the St. Louis Rams. ""We'll play Kampman and Mojo and everybody that we feel is healthy enough," Del Rio told the media. How much each plays is still up in the air, but Del Rio seemed to indicate it would be about 10-15 plays when asked by Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union.
Also on the injury front, Del Rio seemed to indicate that right tackle Eben Britton and tight end Zach Miller are both on track to play in the week 1 opener against the Tennessee Titans, neither will play Thursday. Defensive end Jeremy Mincey is still limited in practice with the concussion he suffered last week and is unsure if he will play in the preseason finale. David Jones, Tyson Alualu, D'Anthony Smith, Rashad Jennings, Jeremy Cain, Marc Schiechl, Larry Hart, and Bradley Vierling all did not practice today. Their status for the finale are uncertain at this time. I would venture to guess non of them will play, however.
