Issues with Peyton Manning's neck could open up the AFC South

I've said before, and even now still don't believe Peyton Manning will not play until someone else on the Indianapolis Colts takes a snap at quarterback. That being said, it looks and sounds as if Manning is going to miss some time and that puts the Colts at a bad spot. A bad, bad spot. Without Peyton Manning, the Colts quite frankly are terrible.

If the Colts are without Manning, there is a drastic shift atop the AFC South. I would say as it stands, the Houston Texans are likely the AFC South favorite with a Manning-less Colts in the division, but the Texans always seem to find a way to screw it up. The Texans can jump out to an early lead, since they open with the Colts. The Jacksonville Jaguars also open with an AFC South game against the Tennessee Titans. With Manning, I don't think the Jaguars have a shot at the division. Without Manning for 4-5 games, as speculated, well... that's an entirely different story. The AFC South is now 100% completely up for grabs. What the Colts plan to  announce at noon before Sunday's game will be very, very interesting.
