There is a strong possibility that the Jacksonville Jaguars could fire general manager Gene Smith at the end of the season, as a response to his struggles to build an effective roster during his four years as general manager. There is some belief, that if and/or when this occurs that head coach Mike Mularkey and his staff could suffer blowback from the firing and be fired as well.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network however indicated that may not be the case on NFL Network's show "Total Access".
What else did I say on TA: Don't be surprised if #Jaguars install new GM before any coaching decision. Assuming a new boss, he'll have input

Allowing the new general manager, if there is going to be one, chose what to do with the coaching staff would be the smart move for Shad Khan in beginning the new rebuilding process.
