Jaguars vs. Dolphins 2012: First quarter game thread

Chad Henne will return to Sun Life Stadium with a different uniform on after four seasons as quarterback of the Miami Dolphins.

USA TODAY Sports

The end of the 2012 season is mercifully approaching after a miserable 2-11 start to the season for the Jaguars. The team is in contention for the first overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, but the more important goal for the coaches and players in the final three games will be to prove that they are still deserving of the jobs they have.

All eyes in Miami will be on quarterback Chad Henne, who is making his return to Sun Life Stadium for the first time in a different uniform after four seasons as the quarterback for the Dolphins. However, he'll certainly draw the attention of Jaguars fans too because he has just three more games to show that he is deserving of a roster spot in 2013 and a potential chance to earn the starting role.

Most of all, though, wins and losses matter little for both teams now and the growth of young players is the most important for both:
