Early in Sunday's game against the Bills, Rashad Jennings suffered a head injury and has been declared as out for the remainder of the game, the team announced.
With Maurice Jones-Drew out of the lineup with a foot injury, the season hasn't gone as planned for running back Rashad Jennings. He's been largely ineffective and lost his starting job to Jalen Parmele before getting it back after Parmele was relegated to injury reserve.
His performance against the Bills didn't start much better as he gained just eight yards on his first seven carries. On his eighth rushing attempt of the game, Jennings found rushing room, but landed hard after a 12-yard game and remained on the field until he was helped off by the Jaguars training staff.
The Jaguars have only Montell Owens and Richard Murphy on the roster at the running back position. Jennings was immediately replaced on the field by Owens, and Murphy has never taken an NFL rushing attempt.
