Jaguars QB Chad Henne not worried about offensive line

New, comment

The Jaguars start a different offensive line combination on Sunday, for the fifth consecutive game.

The Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line has been a position of weakness in the 2012 season, mostly due to injury. On Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, the Jaguars will start their fifth consecutive different offensive line grouping with the likelihood of Uche Nwaneri missing the finale due to a concussion he suffered against the New England Patriots.

Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne knows he can't really concern himself with that, however.

"Overall it’s kind of just worry about what you can control. I spend a little more time on film work. Obviously me as the quarterback I’d like to take over the protections and make the calls so they [the offensive linemen] don’t have to worry about it no matter who’s in there," Henne told reporters on Wednesday. "From that standpoint I feel I make a lot of the calls and they just go off them, so whoever is in there they just have to know their assignment and follow what I say."

The Jaguars will need to do something to protect Henne on Sunday, who was sacked seven times and knocked around by the Titans defense in their first meeting.
