The Jaguars and Titans each went on long touchdown drives during their first possessions of the game and are tied 7-7 after the first quarter.
After winning the toss and electing to defer to the second half, the Jaguars defense struggled early giving up a long, 42-yard pass play from Jake Locker to Lavelle Hawkins over the head of rookie cornerback Mike Harris. A few plays later, Chris Johnson capitalized with a two-yard run in to the endzone untouched.
The Jaguars spent little time responding, driving down the field with long runs from Keith Toston and Richard Murphy, coupled with some pass plays from Chad Henne to Justin Blackmon. Jordan Shipley tied the game with a five-yard touchdown reception from Henne later in the quarter.
The Titans offense came back down to Earth on its next possession, punting to the Jaguars, but the Jacksonville offense has continued to find success and will begin the second quarter threatening to score.
