After earning a 3-0 lead in the first half, the Jaguars gave up 10 unanswered points in the third quarter and have 15 minutes to find some points and erase a 10-3 deficit.
Despite starting with the ball first in the second half, the Chad Henne-led offense was unable to find anything as the Jaguars were unable to earn a first down on any of its four possessions in the quarter. The four three-and-outs gave the Jets multiple opportunities with decent field position and the road team took advantage.
With Mark Sanchez struggling to find much downfield and largely settling for underneath passes, the Jets instead turned to the run and found plenty of success. Shonn Greene and Bilal Powell shredded the Jaguars defense on multiple occasions, including a drive that ended with a one-yard touchdown from Greene.
The fourth quarter will begin with the ball in possession of the Jets deep in Jacksonville territory.
