The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Laurent Robinson, according to a report by Adam Schefter. Robinson was one of the unheralded free agent wide receivers on the market that some around the league felt a lot of teams would be interested in. Robinson drew a lot of interest in free agency, with both the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys trying to get a deal done with Robinson before he could get to Jacksonville.
Robinson broke on to the scene last season for the Dallas Cowboys, catching 54 passes for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns. Robinson is a big time speed threat, which is something the Jaguars need on their offense. He did a good job with explosive plays for the Cowboys in 2011. If Robinson can be a number one receiver is a big question. The concern with Robinson is he's done it only one time and it took him a while to stick onto a team.
Schefter reports that the deal is for five-years, $32.5 million.
