Amidst the excitement that was the signing of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Laurent Robinson, Adam Caplan of Sirius XM Radio reported that the Jaguars reached a deal with defensive tackle C.J. Mosley for three years, $7.5 million, $2 million guaranteed.
Mosley, 28, is entering his eighth season in the league and his third as a member of the Jaguars after being acquired in October of the 2010 season. Prior to that he was a member of the Cleveland Browns in 2009 and the New York Jets from 2006 until 2008. He was originally drafted in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings before being involved in a trade that sent him to New York.
Mosley started three games at defensive tackle for the Jaguars in 2011 and recorded a sack and a forced fumble for the season along with 24 tackles.
